The England Pavilion holds such majestic history. My own appreciation of its rich continuity through the generations has been recently broadened by watching “The Crown” series on Netflix, but began over 50 years ago at the opening of “Mary Poppins” at Radio City Music Hall in New York City when I was 9 years old. I took up flying kites and feeding the birds in Central Park.
Seeing the original movie in 1964 provided a profound guiding light in my life, one that led me to paint as a Consignment Artist for Disney Theme Parks and Disney Cruise Line. It is a joy to be able to envision the Pavilion with the many meaningful treasures from Mary Poppins – how many you ask? – a count of the letters in Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious may be a hint?!!
