“Encourage” – Dumbo Original painting

“Encourage” – Encourage is a wonderful action. When we encourage others, we are giving of ourselves with their best interests in mind. We are demonstrating the courage to inspire them in turn to do something with courage. We are stimulating development and helping to strengthen through enrichment. To encourage someone often comes from an ‘inspired’ place, and calls another to take a leap of faith and “Believe and Soar”.

The crows tell Dumbo he can fly using a “magic” feather. As long as he thinks the power is in the feather, he is still tethered to the ride. But when his friend Timothy Q. Mouse is able to convince him that he has the power to fly without the feather, he learns and the tethers begin disappearing! Such may be a leap of faith! Scripture tell us in 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline”.

Deluxe Prints of “Encourage” are now available at Epcot’s Art of Disney. The original painting will be appearing soon at the Parks.
